Biographical Information

Chuck Haney is a freelance photographer and writer based in the Rocky Mountain setting of Whitefish, Montana. Chuck traverses the Pacific Northwest, Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains in pursuit of interesting subject matter.

Chuck grew up on the family farm in Ohio. In fact, Chuck descends from a long line of farmers. It is that heritage that helps define Chuck’s work ethic and understanding of farming practices. In short, when Chuck approaches a farm or ranch photography situation, he knows how to speak the lingo. Farmers and ranchers feel comfortable around that scenario and the photography greatly benefits.

Chuck has long shot assignment work for one of the nations leading agriculture publications, Successful Farming Magazine. He continues to shoot many agriculture subjects for stock such as crops in beautiful light; ranch life, historic barns and antique tractor collections are among his favorite subjects.

Haney currently has 8 books published and is credited with well over 100 book and magazine covers. Chuck shoots with a Pentax 6X7 medium format and Canon 35mm equipment.
